Blessing bags are filled with necessary items for victims of domestic violence. This ministry is now in its eighth year. 

The blessing bags are funded through our annual Christmas raffle, and generous donations by the community of St James, the women’s craft group, friends, Marilyn’s home study group and several local businesses including the amazing donations from the dear people of Bayview Shores Apartment Complex.  This year, 2024, our annual Christmas raffle provided us with a total of $2775.00 to continue this ministry.

Coordinated by Marilyn Pappas and Denise Eolkin, 80 bags (each worth approximately $200) throughout the year were delivered.  All gifted items are brand new and fully sealed.  These bags are distributed through St John’s Anglican Crisis Centre in Surfers Paradise approximately every eight weeks.

In 2024 $16000.00 worth of goods were delivered and distributed.  All honour and glory to God.
