Coomera Craft Circle

St Matthew’s Church

The Craft Circle meets every second Tuesday, excluding school holidays, in Meeting Room 1 at St Matthew’s. Attendances range between 6 and 11, the average being 8 women, comprising both church and non-church attendees. Most are committed to knitting and crocheting items for donation to charities, predominantly rugs, beanies and toys, but other needs are addressed as they become known to the group. An average of 20-25 rugs are completed for delivery to St John’s Crisis Care, Southport each year.

The social camaraderie of the group continues to be acknowledged as a key factor in bringing the women together where sharing of food and home hospitality is enjoyed, and personal milestones are celebrated. Group members are always invited to, and often participate in, other events held in the Parish and particularly popular are those arranged by the Women’s Fellowship Group of St Matthew’s.
